The numerous activities around e-geo.ch are reflected especially in the concrete projects required for establishing a National Spatial Data Infrastructure.
One of the key tasks of the steering committee is controlling the e-geo.ch projects. Project teams consisting of members of the sponsoring organizations realize and document the projects:
- description of the project
- expected results
- organisation
- requisitions and financing
- planning
- reporting
Individual sponsors propose and present new projects to the steering committee which then decides if a project should be accepted as an e-geo.ch project. The criteria specify that it should be of national interest and contribute to creating a National Spatial Data Infrastructure.
To ensure proper management and control, the e-geo.ch projects are maintained in a project portfolio.
